Our premier conference for educators and learners is full of outstanding educational content. Come discover the most up-to-date information in the academic CRNA community, do some networking, and enjoy the hospitality and warmth of Houston.

Leadership Development

The Executive Committee of your BOD plus CEO Randy Moore will be traveling to the American Society of Association Executives CEO Symposium which is designed to help association leaders confront challenges to their organizations by learning evidence-based strategic decision-making and understanding leadership behaviors that impact change, innovation and organizational culture.

In addition, the AANA BOD is utilizing Sortsol, the consulting firm hired to conduct the cultural assessment that was completed last year, to move forward with implementing our cultural assessment  strategy. Sortsol will provide ongoing leadership development and coaching for the BOD and staff, with a focus on succession planning for the future. Sortsol will also help guide the BOD as we explore governance restructuring for the AANA, an initiative that emerged from a resolution presented last September at the Annual Congress. This task will encompass several short- and long-term strategies driven by best practices and membership engagement.

National CRNA Week

2019 CRNA WeekNational CRNA Week was extremely successful this year. Many of you have shared news of your celebrations and advocacy efforts from across the country. The success was also highlighted by the fact that AANA had to reorder CRNA Week merchandise due to a sellout. Again, thanks to all of you for the high-quality anesthesia care you provide our patients and for ensuring that patients have access to care they would not otherwise receive if it were not for CRNAs! Please be sure to share your CRNA Week pictures, videos, and stories with our PR staff: or Thank you!
