CRNAs make a difference in the lives of their patients every day. You can make a difference in your future and the future of the nurse anesthesia profession by becoming a Friend for Life and supporting the nurse anesthesia profession through a meaningful, lasting, legacy gift.

Criteria for Membership

Membership in the Friends for Life program is open to those who include the AANA Foundation in their will or estate plans at a minimum of $25,000 or make a cash gift or pledge of $25,000 within a three-year period. Planned gifts may include one or more of the following and must be provided to the Foundation in writing:

  • Designation of the AANA Foundation as Beneficiary in a Life Insurance Policy, Retirement Plan, or other Financial Instrument
  • A Bequest in a Will or in a Revocable Trust
  • Participation in a Life Income Program (such as a Charitable Gift Annuity, Deferred Payment Gift Annuity, Charitable Remainder Trust)
  • A Charitable Lead Trust
  • Gift of Appreciated Property such as Securities, Real Estate, and tangible Personal Property
  • Cash Installments over a Three-Year Period

Friends for Life receive great satisfaction in knowing that their future planning will advance nurse anesthesia research, education, leadership and professional development. The AANA Foundation will show appreciation for these generous legacy gifts by providing:

  • Engraved crystal name plate on the Friends for Life recognition wall at AANA office
  • Induction of new Friends for Life at the AANA Annual Congress
  • Friends for Life red ribbon and medallion with the emblem of the Lamp of Learning
  • Recognition in the AANA Foundation Annual Report
